I know!  I know!  This is some crazy, far out jukebox.  What do expect?  It's 1977 and Disco music is really taking off.

Although introduced in December of 1977 it was one of the last models to roll off the assembly line of Seeburg 1500 N. Dayton downtown Chicago in September of 1979.

By September of 1980 Stern had purchased the Seeburg name and myself the entire parts department of Seeburg Sales Corporation.

It's a compact little cabinet yet contains two 12 - inch woofers and two horns.  A lot of these went overseas where folks have smaller rooms in many countries.  Thus they are a bit uncommon in the US.

We picked up this particular unit from a local company who gave up trying to compete with us a long time ago.  The owner had kept 2 of them in storage for a dozen years or more.

These were machines they would rent to the public for weekend parties.  He installed jacks in the rear of the cabinet that would allow for external speakers to easily be connected.  It's very convenient if you'd like to run speakers to another room or outside.

The jukebox certainly doesn't need any more speakers itself.  Its 32 watts RMS digital amplifier definitely has enough power for any area.  Plus it has a light tracking, great sounding Pickering cartridge.

We thought we'd display the HYPE sheet from the backside of the brochure. It's kind of a funny read about a fun jukebox.
